Pricing and Fees

We believe families should have clear information about the cost of care. Our practice is a private-pay model, which allows us to provide longer visits, comprehensive evaluations, and individualized attention.

Although we do not bill insurance directly, many families use out-of-network benefits and submit a superbill for possible reimbursement.

Developmental Evaluation

Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation

A full developmental evaluation is designed to understand the complete picture of a child’s development and provide clear guidance for families.

The evaluation typically includes:

• Detailed developmental and medical history
• Clinical observation and developmental assessment
• Review of school, therapy, and prior evaluations when available
• Diagnostic clarification when appropriate
• Comprehensive written report
• Individualized recommendations for home, school, and therapy

Fee: $500 per hour

Many evaluations will be completed in the first 1-2 hours of face to face time and a good faith estimate of total cost will be provided after requested intake paperwork is reviewed.

Follow-Up Visits

Follow-up visits provide continued guidance as children grow and developmental needs change.

These visits may include:

• Developmental progress monitoring
• School and therapy planning
• Behavioral guidance
• Coordination with other professionals involved in care

Follow-up visit (30 minutes): $250

Follow-up visit (15 minutes): $125

Medication Management

For children who benefit from medication treatment, we provide careful monitoring and follow-up.

Visits focus on:

• Medication effectiveness
• Adjustment of treatment when needed
• Monitoring growth, sleep, appetite, and school functioning
• Integrating medication into a broader developmental care plan

Medication management visit: $125

Why We Do Not Bill Insurance

At PEAK Developmental Pediatrics, our goal is to provide thoughtful, thorough care for children and families. Developmental evaluations and follow-up visits often require more time and individualized attention than traditional insurance-based models allow.

By operating outside of insurance networks, we are able to:

  • Spend more time with families during evaluations and visits

  • Provide comprehensive developmental assessments without restrictive time limits

  • Focus on clinical care rather than insurance requirements and authorizations

  • Offer personalized recommendations tailored to each child’s needs

This approach allows us to structure visits around what is most helpful for families and children rather than what is dictated by insurance policies.

Using Out-of-Network Benefits

Although we do not bill insurance companies directly, many families are able to use their out-of-network benefits to receive partial reimbursement.

After your visit, we will provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt that includes the information insurance companies typically require for reimbursement.

A superbill generally includes:

  • The provider’s information and credentials

  • The date and type of service provided

  • Diagnosis and billing codes

  • The amount paid for the visit

Families can submit this document directly to their insurance company. Depending on the specifics of your insurance plan, you may receive partial reimbursement for services.

Checking Your Benefits

If you plan to submit a superbill for reimbursement, it may be helpful to contact your insurance provider ahead of time and ask about:

  • Out-of-network benefits for developmental or behavioral pediatric services

  • Deductibles and reimbursement percentages

  • Whether a referral is required

While reimbursement cannot be guaranteed, many families are able to receive partial coverage through their insurance plans.
